The student ambassadors want to play games with you.
To do this, they have brought out the Yahtzee, the Jenga, the jigsaw puzzles, and have rolled out the mini-golf greens for Wacky Wednesdays in the courtyard — which will take place every week with weather permitting.
“We have been doing a lot of office work with the recent cutbacks and want to get involved and meet other students and have them meet each other,” said Jessica Van Atta, a student ambassador and Geology/Education major. “We want to give students some fun stuff to do and a way to relax.”
According to the LBCC Web site the student ambassadors are a “group of current Linn-Benton Community College students whose main purpose is the positive promotion of LBCC.”
They handle new student orientations, campus tours, events, and recruitment and retention. Also, In the past, they helped Habitat for Humanity build a house, served at soup kitchens around the area, and put on Project Page Turner, which was a literacy event for local children.
For more information about Wacky Wednesday or any other Student Ambassador services or events visit them in the Student Life and Leadership office or call them at (541) 917-4457.
