I Awoke Tomorrow Morning

The Commuter

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

by Megan Pierce

I awoke tomorrow morning and looked upon the calm winter morn.

The dawn stretched across the fickle sky

As if a symphony played its tune using its bright yellow hues.

My heart saw the months dressed in warm summer clothes,

And my eyes felt the lightning of love forgetting the cold.

My fingers heard the song burst from my heart

While my ears knew the silence of winter again.
