Birth of a Newspaper

The day one issue of the paper goes out, the next weeks has already
begun. Meetings have been held, stories have been selected, and ads have been sold. Our editor-in-chief — who gets the final say in all matters — decides how big the paper will be and then builds a story budget and distributes the stories out to our reporters.

Belly restaurant review

Pork belly, to some, is the just cut of meat that bacon is made from. Pork belly to those “in the know”, especially chefs, is one of the finest things to come out of a pig. Rarely do I see it on menus, which is unfortunate because it is a relatively inexpensive piece of meat.

Oregon Country Fair '08

My favorite thing about the fair is how that the human body is viewed as an art-form, and there’s nothing shameful about showing off what you have. Long as we can’t see your lower genitalia, you’re fine. It’s still not polite to ogle or stare, you should just intake what’s going on, appreciate it as an expression of freedom and art, and move along. After all, they’re not showing off their stuff for pornographic reasons, they’re doing it to be free and express themselves and patrons should be respectful of that.

May Day merriment in Adair

It was a dry but cloudy day in Adair Park. The sounds of drumming,
laughing, and sound checks were prevalent, along with laughter and Hacky Sacks meeting hippie feet—the smell of sage burning, the sun setting and their were lots of people. But, this was no ordinary day, this was the first ever May Day Festival on public land. And it was all-legit too.
