Board of Education letter
The CommuterWednesday, June 3, 2009
The Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education would like to thank you for working with the board and college administration in a collaborative effort to deal with this year’s budget reductions. The board recognizes that this is a very difficult time for the college faculty and staff and that many of you have made sacrifices for the good of the college and our students. We appreciate the sacrifices that you are making and the many good ideas that you have brought forward to balance our budget. It is important to remember that community colleges did not create or contribute to the economic challenges facing Oregon. We are part of the solution. Even though we are making budget reductions, we are still making plans for the future of LBCC; a future that includes working together to serve the needs of the community.
