Our Next Wild Weather
Tuesday, January 6, 2009
For the next few days, we’re in store for another bout of wonderful Oregon winter weather. No mention of snow and/or ice this time. Thank goodness.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch starting the evening of Tuesday the 6th and rounding it’s way clear through Friday. This newest round of flood watch can be attributed to heavy rain fall, up to 3” possible in the valley and the rising temperatures and snow level.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday should see the brunt of the rain, with drier conditions in the horizon on Friday. The weekend should shape up rather nicely, if predictions hold true.
Should the weather turn nasty at any time and you’re not sure if campus is open, the internet can help you. Flash Alert is Linn Benton closure information page. Here you will learn if LB has a late start, closed or any emergency information you need to know. Also local radio stations and television stations are also privy to information that is passed on over the media channel.
Make sure to grab an umbrella (or a rowboat, depending on where you live) before you head out this week for it’s sure to be a wet and wild weather week.
