Benton Center Threat Investigated

Received from email:
A phone call was received by the Albany campus early this morning indicating a threat to the Benton Center. The Corvallis Police Department in conjunction with LBCC Campus Security officers is investigating all possible leads in the incident.

Anyone who needs to report a circumstance that presents an urgent health or safety concern for students or employees should immediately contact the Campus Security Office in HO 119, or call ext. 4440 or 541 926-6855.

At this time nothing further is known. As we receive more details, this notice will be updated.

Jeffrey's Place turns out to be "The Place"

At any time I had a path to the bar, the dance floor, the restroom, and to the pool room. My non-smoker friends were able to enjoy themselves without hacking up a lung or experiencing burning eyes. The entire time I felt the vibe. It was nice, relaxing, and fun! Jeffery’s Place is starting a new way of “barring.”

The Summit Summer Festival was "electrifying"

A faint flash of lightning lit up the slightly clouded horizon as the “Ladyz” finished their set. As soon as the set was over the band switch began. Even faster, the African drums came out to welcome the fire dancers. Jenna Summer Smith with her partner Mas wowed the audience with their flaming staff and poi. The fire blowing lit up the whole field while the storm started to close in.
