Question 1: Why do you think important events like the Holocaust should be remembered?
Question 2: Does the Holocaust affect your opinion of Germans?
Alexander Williams
Business
Answer 1: Every tragedy that America and our world have gone through should be remembered in some way or another.
Answer 2: Not anymore, I think if I lived in that time it would have definitely effected my opinion of them but they were just following somebody and you can’t help but follow your leader at that point.

Answer 1: Mostly because history tends to repeat itself and so when we know the things we’ve done in the past that’s happened we can look at why that happened and we can try to avoid that in the future
Answer 2: NO, it was just a few specific German people that were the main cause of it so it’s not the whole fault of the people

Chris Everett
Undecided, should be changed to computer science soon
Answer 1: To know that they did happen, and they can happen. And hopefully actions will take place so that they won’t happen again.
Answer 2: Nope, it was mainly a select few that headed the course of their actions and the rest followed

Answer 1: I think they affected a lot of people in certain ways, depending on where they’re from and that’s just a great thing to be aware of what went on and what people went through.
Answer 2:I think it was a bad time back then, but not personally. I have family from that area, I don’t think they’re really Germans but they kind of were back then, so…

English
Answer 1: I think it’s important like any other piece of history is important to be remembered in the fact that because it was such a horrific event by knowing what happened it will not repeat it self.
Answer 2: Not at all, No. Because if you look at the history of the United States and what we did to African Americans I think that we would have no right feeling any sort of judgment.

Answer 1: You see, I have family that were actually Jewish, and actually some that were Germans at the time. My Great grandfather still has his numbers tattooed on his arm and stuff like that. So when it comes down to it you know there are a lot of people that don’t understand, aren’t fully aware of it. It’s just good to have knowledge of that aspect just like any kind of history. They say people that, can’t remember who said it, people can’t remember the past they’re going to make the same mistakes kind of thing and as long as we’re aware of that. It’s one of those things
Answer 2: No, not at all. At the time maybe but now days I mean that’s just one thing. They were in war, they were doing their thing. War is war. I’m sure even now days, our war, their’s stuff going on that we don’t know about and it’s good that we don’t know about it. It doesn’t leave a reasoning whether it’s right or wrong.
